Welfare Trust Yugo initially launched a First Aid Post (FAP) based on community needs. Over time, it was upgraded into a full-fledged clinic named Zameer-ul-Haq Medical Center. The center provides essential healthcare services to the underprivileged residents of Yugo and nearby areas, where a qualified MBBS doctor offers medical consultations and treatments.
- •An ambulance service is also operational to ensure that patients can reach hospitals promptly in emergency situations.
- •Furthermore, Welfare Trust Yugo has initiated the establishment of a well-equipped hospital in Yugo. This upcoming facility aims to provide affordable healthcare and diagnostic services to poor families within their local area.
Education
Education has always been the top priority of Welfare Trust Yugo. Before the early 1990s, women's education was almost hid in the region. Understanding this need, the CBO took the initiative to promote girls' education and successfully established a Girls' School in 1990. Today, almost every girl in the village attends school.
- •In 1997, the Trust founded a comprehensive English-medium institution, Al Mahad Public High School Yugo, for both boys and girls.
- •Many alumni from this school have secured scholarships and employment opportunities both in Pakistan and abroad.
Social Services
The Trust provides regular support to deserving individuals and families. Some of the major activities include:
- •CBO has constructed a shelter for local handmade basket-weaving artisans to protect them from extreme weather conditions, enabling them to continue their work comfortably and without interruption.
- •Organizing collective Qurbani every year and distributing meat to all families.
- •Providing clothes, shoes, and food items to those in need.
- •Offering free school uniforms and warm jackets to students.
- •Arranging Iftar in Ramadan for the community.
- •Mobilizing support from well-off individuals to supply basic necessities during natural disasters.
Environment
Maintaining a clean and green environment is its main slogan. Welfare Trust Yugo conducts regular cleanliness drives with the active participation of school children to promote hygiene and environmental awareness.
- •Students also deliver speeches on environmental protection during school events such as Mother's Day.
- •Additionally, the Trust has installed a waste disposal system with dustbins across the village, encouraging residents to dispose of garbage properly.
- •In plantation season, each student is required to plant at least one sapling, promoting sustainability and love for nature.
